The Chapman’s Peak scenic drive winds along a 5 and a half mile route from Hout Bay to Noordhoek, acclaimed to be one of the world’s most beautiful drives. The panoramic views of beautiful fishing villages and endless Atlantic ocean, often dotted with migrating whales and playful dolphins in Spring time is a must see on every Cape Town list. Visually stunning vantage points, some 593m above sea level, along the route of the Cape Argus Cycle Tour and the Two Oceans Marathon. Construction began in 1915 and continued for several years. Fondly referred to as Chappies by locals.
